Sr. Manager, Community Giving
Hillel Ontario is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Community Philanthropy. The Sr. Manager will be an integral part of the Development team, with a primary focus on donors under $5000. The Sr. Manager is a detail oriented self-starter who will create connections with current and future donors and volunteers. They will manage community fundraising campaigns, utilizing best practices to engage donors via email, direct mail, and personal solicitation. They will also work to support Campus Directors with campus fundraising initiatives.
The Sr. Manager, Community Philanthropy will be familiar with prospect research, alumni engagement, data management and segmented solicitation strategies. The Manager is a highly organized team player who understands the philanthropic landscape and the importance of donor stewardship and is able to deliver on challenging revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative annual fund strategies (i.e. market segmentation, assignment of annual prospects, stewardship, direct marketing, research and prospecting, digital and physical calendar of solicitations, etc.)
- Enhance current strategies and campaigns and develop new initiatives to increase the donor base, and increase current giving.
- Build cultivation strategies for new prospects, and coordinate outreach to prospective donors
- Identify potential Major Gift donors by researching annual campaign and campus campaign prospects and creating briefing notes for gift cultivation and/or solicitation meetings.
- Build and manage Hillel Ontario’s alumni strategy
- Effectively utilize the donor database software (CRM)
- Build a campaign calendar and work collaboratively with the Marketing and
- Communications department to develop content and guide the design of fundraising materials
- Support the overall activities of the Development team and supervise the Advancement Coordinator.
