Fundraising Day
Learn. Refresh. Engage. Debate.
Dear Colleagues:
On behalf of the AFP Fundraising Day Committee 2009: Something for Everyone! I would like to invite you to participate in what we think will be an exciting and interesting day.
The committee has worked very hard to provide a diverse and current program that it believes will be of interest to advancement and fundraising professionals at all levels of their careers. The program is divided into three sections: 1) for individuals with less than four years experience - topics include Donor Relations, Knowing Your Donors and 3rd Party Events; 2) more than four years experience - Cultural Diversity, Major Gifts and Fundraising for Gen X & Y; and 3) more than 10 years experience - Strategic Planning, Coping in These Difficult Times, and Branding.
We feel that it is a well-rounded program and definitely worth a day away from the office. The day will give you an opportunity to gain knowledge, network with colleagues and meet new ones, and have a chance to see the big picture.
A new feature of Fundraising Day will be a keynote speaker at lunch. Tom Watson, authour of Cause Wired: Plugging In, Getting Involved and Changing the World, a best selling book that chronicles the rise of online social activism will be joining us. We will also be celebrating the New Fundraiser of the Year.
So please take a moment to review the program and the wonderful and numerous cost-saving options for you and your colleagues to attend Fundraising Day.
We look forward to seeing you on May 28th.
Yours sincerely,
Barbara Track, CFRE
Chair, Fundraising Day 2009
