The AFP Greater Toronto Chapter team & Mentorship committee (Meighan Bell & Kate Black, CFRE) will be online to talk about our all-new 2020-2021 Chapter mentorship program.

As part of AFP’s ongoing commitment to developing the fundraising sector and supporting the novice fundraiser in their professional growth, the Chapter is excited to launch a new mentorship program as part of their 2020-2021 Chapter membership benefits. The purpose of the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter Mentorship Program is to offer a relationship-based opportunity for novice fundraisers and those new to the non-profit sector to be matched with experienced fundraisers and non-profit professionals to offer advice and guidance through respectful, one-to-one mentoring sessions. The goal of the program is to create a supportive partnership that is mutually beneficial for both parties for continued professional growth and career development.

At this special Breaking Bread & Raising Dough session, Meighan & Kate will provide further details on the program and how you can get involved. They'll also touch on their own personal experiences with mentorship & how building a network can help you in your career.

– What are the do's and don'ts of mentorship?
– What are some techniques for not feeling awkward networking?
– What are some ways we can build our network virtually and what are the best ways for staying connected?
– How can organizations support mentorship?

Join us if you're curious about any of the above or if you're interested in becoming a mentor / mentee!

This info session is open to both members and non-members.
