Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate, strategic, and results-oriented Director of Fundraising to lead and grow our fundraising operations. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Fundraising will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure and sustain diverse revenue streams, including corporate partnerships, major gifts, grants, events, and individual giving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals and programmatic priorities.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and sponsors.
  • Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and donor recognition programs.
  • Manage grant writing, applications, and reporting processes with private foundations and government agencies.
  • Strengthen and expand the donor base by creating engaging fundraising campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Work closely with the communications team to ensure fundraising initiatives align with brand messaging.
  • Prepare annual fundraising budgets, forecasts, and performance reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Build and manage a high-performing fundraising team and volunteer fundraising committee.
  • Develop and implement a volunteer management program

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive fundraising experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants.
  • Experience designing and executing successful fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and adjust tactics for maximum impact.
  • Knowledge of donor management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar CRM systems).
  • CFRE designation or equivalent is an asset.
  • Passion for social impact, community development, and environmental sustainability.
