Position Overview:
The Executive Lead, Development (ELD) will be a visionary leader responsible for driving Grandview’s fundraising strategies and ensuring the growth of philanthropic support. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the ELD will oversee the Development team, implement best practices for donor engagement, and maintain strong community relationships. This role is crucial in securing the financial resources needed to support Grandview’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fund development program aligned with Grandview’s mission and funding priorities.
• Grow and manage a donor pipeline through major, planned, and annual giving programs.
• Work with senior leadership to identify funding priorities and create targeted fundraising campaigns.
• Build and maintain relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing Development team, ensuring professional growth and success.
• Serve as a liaison between donors, the CEO, Board, and other key stakeholders.
• Track fundraising revenue and expenses, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet targets.
• Represent Grandview at community events and build the Centre’s profile.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience leading fundraising initiatives and securing philanthropic support.
• Strong strategic planning, leadership, and project management skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in donor relations and stewardship.
• At least 10 years of experience in fundraising, with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., communications, business, public relations) or equivalent experience.
• CFRE certification is an asset.
Compensation:
$130,000 to $140,000 with a generous benefits package including HOOP pension plan.
