Position Status: Temporary Full-Time (14-month contract)

Description of the Position:
The Manger, Community Partnerships is part of a dynamic team of fundraisers assisting the community hosting their own events, raising net proceeds for priority areas of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). They will manage a portfolio up to $1M of Community (Third Party Events) Partnerships. As the primary relationship manager they will develop, cultivate, and steward supporters to continued success and growth.
This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Community Partnerships.
You will:
- Initiate, maintain and grow relationships with donors, community event organizers and other charitable partners
- Provide enhanced relationship management and strategic thinking to extend and grow fundraising efforts for large event donors
- Develop annual strategic business and financial plans for their portfolio
- Develop compelling proposals to drive long-term gift agreements and secure annual commitment to SickKids Foundation
- As needed work cross functional with Gift Administration, Activation, Marketing, Public Relations, Research, Proposal development and Stewardship
- Cultivate effective relationships within the hospital to support program alignment, proposal development, volunteer opportunities, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
- Identify opportunities to grow and retain existing business through strategic development and execution of individual and departmental initiatives
- Participate in the planning, analysis and strategy of the Community Partnerships team including providing input into team processes, plan administration, system and program implementation and follow up of event funds
Qualifications:
While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Fundraising, Non-Profit Management or another related field
- Exceptional fundraising and Relationship Management skills with minimum 5 years of direct fundraising experience, preferably in third party event fundraising
- Knowledgeable of Blackbaud products, Raiser’s Edge, Convio/Team Raiser, One Cause or other online fundraising platforms experience will be considered an asset
- Knowledgeable of Canada Revenue Agency receipting guidelines
- Able to understand and respond to various levels of expectations from diverse stakeholders
- Experienced with volunteer management
- Strong project management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage multiple projects with various timelines and handle competing and changing priorities
- Superior written and oral communication
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills
- Someone who has displayed sound decision-making and judgment;
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Someone who has demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, creativity and flexibility
- Proficient with Microsoft 365
- Ability to drive initiatives, be resourceful, creative and flexible

Total Compensation Package:
- Hiring Salary Range: $81,251.00 – $101,566.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $116,803.00. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Manager, Community Partnerships.
