MANAGER, SUNRISE CHALLENGE
Toronto / Full-Time, Contract for 8 months with the possibility for extension
This role involves remote/work from home with a requirement for a minimum of two (2) days per week working onsite and may be subject to change as the organization works through its hybrid workforce plan and/or changing needs of the Foundation. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. With a dedicated staff of more than 3,000 physicians, clinicians, researchers, educators and support staff, CAMH offers outstanding clinical care to more than 34,000 patients each year. CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country. Generous and dedicated supporters help CAMH advance discovery and innovation, build spaces that promote recovery, and break down the stigma of mental illness.
The Direct and Digital Fundraising team is responsible for the development and execution of digital and direct-response fundraising campaigns and channels. THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Sunrise Challenge Manager will support the development of the 2025 Sunrise Challenge Campaign from the initiation phase to the delivery phase. This professional will manage all executional aspects of the campaign and will be accountable for all central operations pertaining to Sunrise Challenge 2025, to ensure program success and achievement of revenue targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM
- A post-secondary education or a combination of relevant comparable skills and experience.
- 5-7 years of previous work experience in event or project management, ideally within the non-profit landscape. Program development and fundraising experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with cross functional teams and at all levels in the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of website development (Luminate), email, digital and social media campaigns
- Demonstrated proficiency working with computer applications on a Windows platform including:
- Word, Excel, Power Point, File Transfers i.e. Dropbox
- com (or comparable project management tool)
- Luminate Online, Raiser’s Edge or comparable CRM database
- Superior organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail
- Sound judgment, ability to think creatively and problem solve
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and very strong person-to-person relationship building skills
- Exemplary attention to detail with excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to multitask throughout frequent interruptions, fluctuating volumes and pressing deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple changing demands.
- Ability to work independently using an above average level of initiative
- Willingness to learn and to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate
- Proven ability to exercise diplomacy and good judgement
- Fluency in French is considered an asset, but not required.
