We are a newer, and ambitious charity. With strong public engagement and significant growth potential, we are entering an exciting new phase and we’re looking for a driven, thoughtful, and relationship-focused Fundraising Manager to grow with us.

This new role reports directly to the Executive Director and is the second staff position within the Foundation. It is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help shape the organization for a bright future. 

Applicants should have 2 years+ of full-time fundraising experience in the charitable sector. Please ensure your resume outlines your experience in the following areas:

  • One to one solicitations of prospects and achieving annual targets
  • Donor pipeline segmentation for strategic cultivation and solicitation
  • Planning donor recognition, stewardship events and other appreciation initiatives
  • Using social media and email for fundraising campaigns
  • Experience with donor databases & communications systems
  • Fundraising communications experience 
  • Understanding of budgeting
  • Knowledge of legacy/planned giving and identification campaigns

Additional qualifications include: 

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively engage stakeholders and represent the organization with professionalism and discretion
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships with self-direction
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and collaborative where required
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and judgement skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Mission & Brand Positioning (5%)

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the mission and campaigns
  • Ensure fundraising activities align with brand and organizational goals
  • Research the animal welfare sector for context and differentiation

Donor Portfolio Management (60%)

  • Review and segment donor database to identify and prioritize prospects
  • Manage a personal portfolio of donors through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, and renewal where appropriate
  • Lead donor recognition and appreciation initiatives
  • Develop and manage corporate partnerships and activations
  • Support the Executive Director with personal donor solicitation strategies

Operational Support (20%)

  • Ensure accurate and timely donor data entry and reporting
  • Provide administrative support for fundraising campaigns
  • Attend donor events and represent the Foundation professionally
  • Develop reports to track donor journeys and fundraising performance

Digital Fundraising (15%)

  • Increase engagement through close work with contractors on social media strategy
  • Lead email fundraising and digital engagement strategies.

Our mission is to rescue animals from hardship and provide the critical care and love they need to heal, recover, and thrive in sanctuary or adoptive homes.

​​Through our contracted partner, Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary, we provide tailored and exceptional care for every animal saved.

Our 101 Salvations campaign will rescue 101 dogs with complex needs and support their medical care to give each the best chance at a forever family and a life filled with love.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000, Full Time Permanent
Comprehensive medical and dental benefits
Three weeks of paid vacation annually

Work Schedule
Monday to Friday
Occasional evenings and weekends
Hybrid work environment – with 2-3 days required on site each week
NOTE: We are located in King City on 50 acres, and a car is required to access the property.
