The Role

The Coordinator, Partnerships & Fundraising will support the achievement of peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising targets through timely stewardship and recognition, prospect research and pipeline development, campaign calls, and general administrative support.

We are looking for someone with strong administrative and organizational skills and is eager to support a small but mighty Strategic Partnerships team.

Your Impact

  • Oversee stewardship and recognition activities for the P2P portfolio making recommendations for improvements as needed. Prepare and send donor kits, certificates, plaques, and other supply materials to P2P teams. Support with the creation of P2P TeamRaiser fundraising pages.
  • Perform prospecting and lead generation to identify new community prospects.
  • Perform initial outreach to prospects and leads via email, cold calling, and warm calling.
  • Respond to incoming calls related to the fundraising portfolio and other Strategic Partnerships initiatives.
  • Maintain donor records and associated activities in Raiser’s Edge database ensuring a high level of accuracy. omplete routine audits to ensure accurate donor records.
  • Support with logistics and inventory management for Second Harvest’s auctions, sweepstakes, and gaming opportunities, including prospecting and external partnership support (where needed).
  • Serve as a representative of Second Harvest, building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, and resolving customer service issues promptly.
  • Complete financial reporting as required.
  • Perform day-to-day clerical and administrative support for the P2P and overall Strategic Partnerships team.
  • Support with walks/runs and ECHOage platform management, as well as conduct pre- and post-event stewardship for individuals who fundraise for Second Harvest.
  • Act as a key staff member on-site at Second Harvest’s signature event (set-up, execution, and teardown).
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support the overall goals of the organization.

Who You Are

  • Passionate: Inspired by the work of Second Harvest and eager to build our vision of “No Waste. No Hunger.”
  • Communicator: Comfortable cold-calling businesses as well as communicating with donors via phone and e-mail. You have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fundraiser: Proven success in customer service, fundraising, or sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Collaborative: A positive, collaborative working style. Highly developed interpersonal skills including diplomacy and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record in customer service or stewardship.
  • A motivated self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with strong project and time management skills. We appreciate attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is required. Experience with Raiser’s Edge, TeamRaiser, and pivot tables considered beneficial but not essential. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is valued.
