This role involves remote/work from home with a requirement for a minimum of two (2) days per week working onsite and may be subject to change as the organization works through its hybrid workforce plan and/or changing needs of the Foundation. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country. Generous and dedicated supporters help CAMH advance discovery and innovation, build spaces that promote recovery, and break down the stigma of mental illness.
The Corporate & Community Partnerships team is responsible for engaging corporate Canada and community groups in a meaningful way that results in long-term and sustainable partnerships that help the Foundation reach its fundraising, awareness, and impact goals. THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Coordinator, Corporate & Community Partnerships will report to the Director, Community Partnerships and will provide administrative, fundraising and operations support to the Corporate & Community Partnerships team. This role coordinates activities that support the effective discovery, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and engagement of the Foundation’s corporate partners and community fundraisers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fundraising Support
- Provide administrative and fundraising support to Director, Community Partnerships, Specialist, Community Partnerships, Manager, Partner Engagement & Activation, and Partnerships team broadly in managing relationships with corporate and community partners, donors and prospects.
- Draft, format, review and edit a range of donor correspondence including gift agreements, gift acknowledgements, pledge forms and reminders, invitations, and more.
- Assist with the preparation of presentation decks, proposals, stewardship reports, briefing notes, and other donor materials and packages.
- Update and maintain donor database (Raiser’s Edge), electronic files and records in a timely manner as per our policies and business processes. Work closely with donor managers to ensure that RE records, actions, contact information and proposals are up to date.
- Review prospect lists, make recommendations and perform quality control on lists pertaining to event invitations, recognition, and fundraising tactics.
- Perform general office support duties such as preparing meeting packages, filing, arranging couriers and mailings.
- Coordinate and manage expense invoices and prepare monthly expense reports as needed.
Partnership Engagement
- Support Manager, Partner Engagement & Activation with coordination of corporate partner employee engagement activities including donor events and volunteer activations with the hospital.
- Engage with donors and community partners as requested to fulfill engagement touchpoints throughout the fundraising cycle (e.g. responding to inbox inquiries, providing tax receipts, etc.)
- Assist in the delivery of donor engagement touchpoints as developed by the Manager, Partner Engagement & Activation and Marketing & Donor Engagement team and in line with established donor experience journeys.
- Assist as appropriate with organizing stewardship and recognition events including identification of prospect lists, preparing invitation lists, managing responses, prompting follow-up, coordinating post-event outreach, welcoming guests and assisting with event logistics.
Community Partnerships
- Support Community Partnerships team by fielding inbound inquiries and providing prompt responses, providing website support and coaching on platform use, and organizing delivery and retrieval of supporting materials and supplies.
- Assist Director, Community Partnerships and Specialist, Community Partnerships in management of community event pipeline as required.
- Attend and support community fundraising events as needed.
Other
- Work as a team player promoting a positive and professional work environment and conduct role with integrity and respect.
- Act as an ambassador throughout the community, positively representing CAMH and CAMH Foundation.
- Abide by the policies and procedures of CAMH and CAMH Foundation.
- Maintain donor and CAMH Foundation confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and work in a manner that is safe, reporting incidents immediately to direct supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned in order to meet the overall goals and objectives of the Foundation.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in non-profit administration, fundraising or operations.
- A post-secondary education or comparable combination of work and education experience that is deemed equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong overall administrative skills, including well-developed business writing and proofreading experience.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to successfully manage multiple priorities as evidenced by excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to timely and appropriate customer service, rooted in initiative and tact.
- Superior computer literacy in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Luminate Online TeamRaiser experience an asset.
- Experience using donor or CRM databases. Raiser’s Edge knowledge strongly preferred.
- A flexible team player able to collaborate and support colleagues and motivated to achieve results.
- Professionalism, judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters essential.
- Willingness to learn and to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.
- General knowledge of fundraising practices, procedures and standards preferred as evidenced by a combination of relevant work, education or professional development.
