How you will make a difference:

Reporting to the Director, Comprehensive Campaign the Senior Manager, Fundraising Operations will be responsible for overseeing fundraising operations for the UWGT Philanthropy team and will play a key role in transforming the organizational fundraising model. This role will act as lead on the CRM, managing key administrative functions, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and working closely with teams across UWGT to drive strategic goals, revenue growth, donor engagement, and improve overall organizational effectiveness. The Senior Manager, Fundraising Operations will guide fundraisers and data champions across departments, taking on daily responsibilities for system management, reporting, and data governance to enable fundraising success.

  1. Systems Strategy & Management
  • Support and guide the development of organizational wide fundraising operations strategies and integration plans.
  • Ensure the integrity of fundraising data and practices by upholding operational standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine processes and strategies.
  • Offer both management and technical assistance for the CRM database and other software applications.
  • Ensure all users are maximizing system capabilities and inputting accurate data, and train new users on system usage and data practices.
  • Oversee software licenses for the Philanthropy and Marketing team and provide guidance on new tools, resources and software to improve fundraising and operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
  1. Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Support the design and development of systems for strategic fundraising analytics, establishing data analysis, management, and reporting practices.
  • Understand the requirements of each business group and determine how data architecture can be optimized to help the organization utilize the fundraising system and available data more efficiently.
  • Lead the relationship with FBMTS, supporting the strategy for data management and reporting across the Philanthropy team, including developing and overseeing CRM fundraising dashboards and maintaining regular reporting to leadership.
  • Forecast and analyze revenue results against goal to support strategic decision making, identify trends/risks, and initiate shifts in strategy.
  • Execute a reporting strategy to utilize business intelligence and Salesforce dashboards and reports, creating comprehensive practices for the Philanthropy team over the coming years, with a focus on areas vital to fundraising success.
  • Maintain clean data to support fundraising and donor activities. Assist data users in ensuring data quality, managing errors, and addressing any data quality issues.
  1. Fundraising Solutions
  • Work cross-departmentally to develop, initiate, and oversee systems, processes and timelines to support funding administration, including gift agreements and pledge reminders.
  • Work in collaboration with Philanthropy and FBMTS teams to collectively and cohesively focus on fundraising analytics and operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements through ongoing evaluation of UWGT’s operations practices and working cross-departmentally to create efficiencies and ensure data quality in support of UWGT’s fundraising objectives.
  • Supports recurring operational processes to ensure alignment, clarity, and timely execution across departments.
  • Establish and implement clear fundraising policies and procedures to maintain consistency, transparency, and accountability throughout the organization.
  1. Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Identify opportunities to improve cross-departmental collaboration, creating and refining fundraising processes, communication, data and reporting, etc. and work with teams and departments across UWGT to implement change.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Philanthropy and FBMTS colleagues to support and enable the provision of timely technical support, solutions, and training.
  • Plan and lead in-depth consultations with key stakeholders, leveraging relationships to gather insights, provide expert guidance, and manage expectations to understand business needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Mentor, coach and support all members of the Philanthropy team on best practices for the CRM and data management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by engaging employees at all levels.

 

What you bring to the role:

  • Five to ten years of fundraising operations and data/technology experience.
  • Knowledge of fundraising data and operations best practices and approaches.
  • Experience with non-profit CRMs and related platforms, including Salesforce, RE NXT, Power BI, Luminate, and Omatic will be considered an asset.
  • Skilled in evaluating, documenting, and optimizing data and reporting processes and procedures.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of business processes within a non-profit, particularly in data integration and reporting capabilities. Familiar with key fundraising performance indicators, metrics, and reporting needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure completion with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work respectfully and inclusively with a diverse employee population and multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to gather and analyse information needed for problem solving and decision making.
  • Ability to train individually or in a group setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Willingness to actively contribute to the organizational Reconciliation and Equity Plan through participation in learning opportunities and implementing anti-oppressive and anti-racist learnings, internally and externally.
