Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, Advancement Group, the Manager, Campaigns & Individual Giving is a revenue-generating role accountable for annual revenue targets from campaigns and individual donors. The Manager plans and delivers annual fundraising campaigns, manages the individual giving portfolio at this level, and turns strategy into clear, coordinated action. Working closely with the Membership Manager, the Director, Advancement, and the Marketing Department, they lead integrated, multi-channel initiatives that acquire, retain, and upgrade donors, strengthen the individual donor pipeline, and foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization.
The ideal candidate is passionate about music and its impact, and is driven by results achieved through strong relationships. They bring a proven track record of meeting revenue goals through data-informed campaigns and meaningful donor engagement, balancing a metrics-driven mindset with the art of storytelling and tailored donor journeys. Organized and collaborative, they help grow year-over-year revenue and expand support for our mission including capital and special projects, education, artist development, and community engagement programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Campaigns:
- Accountable for achieving annual revenue targets for campaigns and individual giving.
- Grow the individual giving program for donors through acquisition, retention, and upgrade strategies, while identifying and referring major gift prospects to the Membership Manager and Director, Advancement Group.
- Plan and execute all annual campaigns, including year-end and quarterly targeted fundraising initiatives.
- Develop multi-channel fundraising strategies across email, direct mail, social media, and digital platforms, in collaboration with Marketing.
- Manage campaign calendars, timelines, budgets, and performance reporting.
- Monitor results and optimize campaigns in real time to maximize revenue and engagement.
Donor Pipeline Development & Stewardship:
- Build and manage the individual donor pipeline, moving supporters from entry-level giving to higher engagement and donor levels.
- Collaborate with the Director, Advancement, and Membership Manager to create and implement donor and member engagement strategies that strengthen relationships, increase loyalty, and build our community of supporters.
- Contribute to designing and refining donor journeys that balance data-informed strategy with storytelling, tailored experiences, and relationship-based fundraising.
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure consistent, donor-centric messaging across all communications.
- Oversee annual giving stewardship activities, ensuring donors are thanked, recognized, and informed in a timely and meaningful way.
- Contribute to a strong culture of philanthropy across the organization by equipping colleagues and leaders to act as ambassadors and involving them in donor cultivation and stewardship where appropriate.
Data & Performance Management:
- Collaborate with the Development Project & Information Associate to use data and analytics to inform strategy, including donor segmentation, targeting, and campaign performance optimization.
- Track KPIs such as revenue, retention, donor growth, and conversion rates.
- Produce regular reports and insights for internal stakeholders and the Board.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a fundraising role with a non-profit organization.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field (such as fundraising, communications, arts administration, or business), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns to meet ambitious revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of donor lifecycle, pipeline development, and stewardship best practices.
- Experience using CRM systems and donor databases (Tessitura preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong project management and collaboration abilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- A collaborative and relationship-oriented approach, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with colleagues, donors, members, and partners.
- Highly organized and detail-focused, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
- Passion for music, the performing arts, and the role of philanthropy in supporting education, artist development, and community engagement.

Work Conditions
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Interacts regularly with internal and external industry colleagues by telephone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Comfort working in both office and facility settings, with the ability to conduct walkthroughs across large-scale, multi-level venues.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for performances, donor events, and stewardship activities.
- Travel between venues will be required on an ongoing basis.
Additional Information (if applicable) : This is a hybrid role based in Toronto with a combination of remote work and on-site presence at Massey Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, and Allied Music Centre. Some evening and weekend availability will be required depending on event schedules.
