Advocate for the sector during COVID-19

We know that COVID-19 is affecting our sector and those we serve.

I want to take a moment to let you, our members, know that sector leaders across the country have been working together to send a common message to the government: COVID-19 is impacting our sector too! Our government needs to include charities and non-profits in its response to the crisis at hand. A letter has been sent to the Prime Minister requesting urgent support for our sector. AFP Canada, along with non-profits and charities from across our sector, have endorsed this letter.

If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to advocate! Please take a minute to ADD YOUR VOICE by sending a letter to your MP. Imagine Canada has created a form that only takes a minute to complete. Once you have sent your MP a letter, please share this message with your network. The time for us to act is now as the government is making important decisions that will have an impact on our sector.
